MOSQUITO CREEK: THEN & NOW ...

OK BABE; let's get on with it.

Times have changed; why not we?

There's some new and promising artwork that lurks under the Bridge of Sadness.

It's all in the Eyes of the Beholder and the Len se of the Canon, as it were.

And best of all, it's right here in your sweet living room, courtesy of SEZ1 Night-Time Photo Squadron, patrolling bridges, highways and train-tracks for your ongoing safety and security.

Make you feel at home?

Right on!  enjoy the night!

Above: "Not In It For The Minche".  So it goes. Nice Throwup however.  Not in it for the Radiance, the Dance, The Espresso, the Ambivalence, the Gusto or the Song.  But never-the-less, a nice tune.

Ok. We go. Dance On. Again, stylin' with a little bit of uniqueness. Hard to pee in the dark, hard to see in the light.

NWK's piece is still around: a masterpiece of Rubinesque Curves, a pure Vampire Cityscape! Unfortunately, some toy wrote his little "fuck u's" all over; gotta be a rug rat in every cloud.

Now We're Gettin' Into Some REally Cool Shit.

"What IS It", you may ask.  "I don't have a fuckin' clue", I might respond. If I turned it upside down, it would mean virtually the same thing, except it would now be Russian artwork, depicting a hovercraft full of eels.

It's a beauty.

Some things need no singing to bring them in.

Just wind it up and add water. Presto!  Your pants are cooking!

Again, more funky styles by "you-know-who".

And, a Spaceman Vladimir for all those whose nights on Alpha Centuri are getting too vast and alone.

To the right we have a small fraction of a very large piece painted on a length of wall almost the entire width of the highway beam.

It's kind of an "undersea" theme; lots of greens & blues.  Extremely cool piece.  A lot of work by a very talented crew.  Almost a shame that it should lurk under a bridge.  At night it was hard to get the whole kazoo with a flash bulb, so even the Panoramix Piece is a little shady: i'll try to capture in Daylight if the Boss gives me time off for Beer and Crackers.

As far as I have seen, this piece rates in the "Top Ten" in Vancouver, right up there with the Blue Pharaoh and Red Cat installations.  Click the tag above for the whole Kazoo (modemers, 120 k or so).

East Van invades the Suburbs. Etc, Ope, others rape and pillage the quiet yuppie shark-tanks on the North Shore. Just "fun on Friday"... More Space Invader Writing, which could mean literally anything, but most likely is a reminder from your Dentist to floss twice a day... More Noisy Shit. If you were listening to a radio, you'd throw it in the sink.  Shuddup, I'm trying out my new pens.

PILLARS OF MADNESS...

We have the courage to traverse down the Rocks and Rabble to view what the District so lovingly covers with Gray: the Bridge Pillars.

We'll have more tomorrow, when our brain is more functional and our eyes are free of these incessant alien snowflakes.

Thanks again to all the taggers, muralists, artists, toys, stoners, phreaks and crews who make the underside of this bridge the most colorful one in all of Canada.

Later...
