Fly Like a Mosquito, Until You're Free

Yeah, we're back . Hiding under the "Bridge Of Sorrow" once again.

It's a Run For Your Money, mister Tired TaxPayer.

The City of North Van keeps spending it's hard-earned Do-nut money painting over the bridge pillars beneath the Mosq Creek overpass.

Why?

Because they Love You?  Not.  Why?  Because we're under-employed here in the GRIFFIN GULCH?  Nope.  Why is this: because they're tired bureaucrats with nothing to do and money to spend.  And  no one has the guts to say, "fuck you".

Okay, so "Kroner" coons again, beneath the Masonite mask of Just Another Alien at Your Picnic.

Legible by spotlight and delectable for lunch, yes. Pass the Cognac, s'il vous plait.

Derek stays for Dinner, and Beyond. Seen this one up for a while, yes?  Derek must hold some clout with the local villagers.  Another keep exponent of Silver Grey, Derek keeps his alphabet soup together for us Illegal Aliens who can't read scat unless it's spelled out in Proper English.

Oh how we love our Anglo Saxon Chemistry.

More Toys for a Disturbed Christmas.

Here, Jethro refuses his Worms once again.  mama Bird she mad now.  Don't spit out your worms or you'll go suffering to bed of nails tonight, kindly feathered one.

Imagination.. wonderful thing, ain't it?

YOU!  MARK4 does a nice little piece: "This is for all the fish.. in the Sea!"  and yes, you nasty little paint-rats who defaced Mark4, I got it before your ratty little green fingers did!  So there!

Anyway.  Bridge Monsters. No one understands Death. even tho' we're surrounded by it all the time.  There's a really sweet piece of graf near the 2 memorials that says something like: "clear the thorns out of the garden of your heart and grow love" ... or something like that.  It's a little naive piece made with simple colors and crayons and stuff.

That actually has a lot of guts to it.  It may have been painted on by friends of family of the deceased kids who fell thru the cracks.  It's death that truly brings out wisdom and rallies the human spirit to a cause beyond our usual shallow sarcasm.

But, the limbic Criminals often get "close" to poetry in their ramblings, and Mark4 is almost on the mark.  The gift is questionable, the poetry is a cute little half-zen-koan, but the art is good.

And we're all Niggers in a White Man's bus - once more.

While we're on the subject of the deep and inconsolable longings of humanity, why don't we just dangle this lost piece from moons ago in front of your 3rd eye?

Why Waste Time?
Why Waste Energy?
Why Waste Life?
Why Waste Paint?

Four tired questions with no answers in sight.  This was an old piece, from Aug/02, perhaps put up as a reaction to the needless deaths: someone questioning the abysmal counterfeit coins of life, but none brave enough to answer.  Nice piece.  Says so much more than most.

Even if the answers don't come at first, the questions are a welcome break from spray-can mediocrity.

While we're on a roll, we may as well expand the time-warp to contain some of the original and foolhardy creatures of the Mosquite Night Klan.  A few more answers to a few more jaded questions, and a few more disguised Creatures Of The Night to keep us happy and distracted for a little longer.

Okay, back to Square One.  OPE. This charmer has been spotted in nightclubs and karoke joints from near to far and is a fave of the Cartoonist-Muralist ilk.  His stuff is beyond good - reeks with Old School Charm and New School Sugar.

More fish in that Strange Sea.  It's clearly Canadian, and clearly Cute. I would vote for Ope if he ran in a federal election.

We'll showcase a few of the more serious and traditional "archive tags" from Under The BoardWalk, and then we're off to bed, like all good little SugarPlums.

"MICK".  We all love a Rainbow.  Why is that?

Unknown.  But Lively and Good-Humored. Photos here were partly flash-illuminated, partly "fish_eyed".  For your viewing pleasure, I have graphically-enhanced what was hard-to-read and deleted the rest.

HIGH TIMES.  We all had them.  How could we forget?  Where are they now?  Where are WE now?

Too much information.

SONE.  OK. I like it.  Mainly because it's got that "black & white" feel to it. latex.

And that's a wrap.

Good night to all you Crusty Little Taglets.

We're thru wagin' war on mediocrity. Now it's your turn.  You'll be tested tomorrow.  Did you do your homework?

It's All A Dream....
