Only in Iceland!

A bird named after an Italian Shoe! "Guccione"!  Sports!  Soccer! Bar Talk! I may be freezing my ass off but my feet are warm!  This vast desolate place called Canada is not far in thought or latitude from the forlorn shores of Reykjavik.

We begin our ICELAND EDITION with an installation from ZIEBRAZ, who is performing unique experiments on Bunny Rabbits.  Ziebraz' concise autobiograghie is below as well as pix that he gave permission to scarf from his web photo-blog.

Thanks to Ziebraz for his Bunnies of The Frozen North.  (and thanks to Sigur Ros for an incredible concert in Vancouver a week back.  a wall of energy that combined victory, starvation and gratitude in an incredible edible column of ascending and descending angels!)

"I'm born 1987, 20, November. I love rock music. Playing on guitar, My life is related to music, i can't live with out it. I like street art very much. All those characters which people makes it's so cool. Every single character can tell some story, if ya look at them.

"Have been making graffiti since 2003, autumn. It's all started from zero. I haven't been arty, i haven't been writting on the tables at school, it's just came to the head, when i was walking in silent Vesturbæjars (region of Reykjavik) streets and started to look at the walls. It was full of tags and bombs, so i thought: "why i can't do such a thing like other do? That can make me famous!"

"I like mostly all kind of styles except that graff where you can't understand, what it's meaning.

"I've been writing in Reykjavik, Hafnarfjordur, Gardabær, Mossfellsbær, Vesturbær, but mostly in Kopavogur...cause i'm living there."

(I asked Ziebraz about Sigur Ros, if he knew... -sez)

"Yeah, i have heard Sigurros few times. Now it's playing everyday on radio. Their weird music makes people to relax."

Thanks Zeb, for your contribution and for a glimpse into the world of Iceland Graf. Everyone's statement is unique, personal and interesting for everyone all round the world to look at.

Pictures can communicate much more than words sometimes - another universal language like music.

Maybe we'll all speak the Universal Language one day.

What would that be like?
